Editorial policy
How we decide what to publish, and how we keep it accurate.
Everything on this site is written to help a person hurt in a road accident, or their family, decide what to do next.
Accuracy first
Every factual statement, such as a law, a deadline, a process or a place, is checked against a reputable source before publishing. The source is listed on the page.
Legal points cite primary sources (statutes, court and government pages, the police and the Malaysian Bar) where they are available. Some points rely on reputable secondary sources, such as law-firm or media explainers, and these are named as secondary sources. The source list on each page shows the date each source was accessed.
No invented specifics
We do not publish statistics, compensation figures, success rates, client counts, reviews or credentials that we cannot source.
Where a compensation range would help, we explain the factors that decide it instead of quoting a number. The real figure depends on your medical evidence and the court’s assessment.
Plain language
We write for a worried person reading on a phone, in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. Each language is drafted separately rather than machine-translated.
Where a legal term matters, we explain it once in plain words and link to the glossary.
Review and updates
This content has not yet been reviewed by a named practising lawyer. A “Reviewed by” line will appear on a page only when a real reviewer has checked it.
When the law changes or we find a better source, we update the page. If something reads wrong, tell us on WhatsApp and we will check it.
What this site is
Road Accident Guide publishes information independently of legal representation. Editorial explanations cannot replace advice from a lawyer who has reviewed your own situation; any engagement and fees are agreed directly with that lawyer.
